Talk:all hell broke loose

Hmm ... this isn't strictly past tense: "If you do that, all hell will break loose". It's not often seen in other forms, but it's not hard to find "Expect all hell to break loose", "all hell is breaking loose", "all hell breaking loose", "keep all hell from breaking loose" and so forth. For that matter "all hell" is idiomatic by itself (I turned up "I'm lonely as all hell", for example).

Right now there don't seem to be entries for all hell or break loose by themselves. There should be, and perhaps the "all hell" forms could be noted under "break loose", with the present page redirecting there? -dmh 20:21, 10 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Return to "all hell broke loose" page.
