"Tacobender"?

Some kind of pejorative reference to people who make tacos; or something like that. You are correct, it confuses an example that should be clarifying the headword, not raising questions. We need a replacement example sentence. Robert Ullmann 17:02, 25 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Anagram edit

The English word "asshole" is an anagram of the Finnish word "lohessa" (more anagrams: http://anagram-solver.net/asshole). A section named "Anagrams" should be added to this page. --NoToleranceForIntolerance (talk) 03:10, 3 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Phycological origins of pejorative (1950s) edit

As in the 1950s common knowledge of phycological terms became wide spread the term anal retentive also became known. It means, phycolically speaking, retention of infantile lack of learning of socially demanded behavior. The first socially demanded behavior being control of defacation. An infant that doesn't lear thet is often seen socially as a creature that takes in food at one end and defacates at the other. Simply a giant asshole. Other socially rejected behavors often retained from infancy to adult hood is the refusal to accept no for an answer, and to react to "no" like an infant. The adult who is infantile is anal retentive, a giant asshole. The adults retaing that refusal to accept no, and react like an infant, are called assholes. Adult assholes who don't understand the meaning of anal retentive will fling the term at people who say no to their infantile demands. Claiming that the person demanded of is retaining the thing demanded, and to make it sound dirty to do so, the asshole will add the anal term because they know there is a real term called anal retentive.

In fact one of the earliest spontaneous socially normative behaviors of infants is the exact opposite. They will offer things, usullay food at feeding time, to the parent. They seem to understand it as a game of you give it to me I give it to you. They do that long before they develop the concept "mine". 98.164.64.68 09:18, 23 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

First of all, phycology is the study of seaweed. I think you meant psychology. As for the rest, it's not really compatible with the Freudian theories that gave us the term anal retentive, and it's not all that well thought out. I don't buy it. Chuck Entz (talk) 16:02, 23 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
