what is the meaning of propriété in English , please ?

le bien qui m'appartient = the good that i own ?

Propriété has multiple meanings relating to the rights of usage, notably of real estate. It can also apply to simple rights of possession without necessarily having the usufruct of what is owned. It also has a quite distinct more abstract usage which would normally be translated as "propriety" relating to the ability to adhere to certain norms. Eclecticology 01:17, 25 Nov 2003 (UTC)
