Talk:bust one's chops

Greetings. I know the idiom to have a very different meaning. To bust one's chops is to give a hard time to someone, often in a semi-friendly way. It's similar to "busting one's balls." A friend may argue with an acquaintance, only to reveal they were just "busting their chops" or "busting their balls."

The way it is listed here seems to be similar to "busting one's butt" or "busting one's ass." An example would be "I've been busting my ass all night to get this paper done."
