Removed pronunciation mangling...looks like they were trying for the pronunciation of caché? --Connel MacKenzie 21:25, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

Do we have justification for the supposed Australian & New Zealand pronunciation introduced by 58.160.92.28 on 9th January 2010? As an Australian, I'll grant this is a somewhat-common mistaken pronunciation, but I strongly disagree that it's representative of all Australian and New Zealand speakers. - 2010-09-22 {{unsigned}]

I'm not sure about NZ, but according to the Macquarie Dictionary (an Australian English dictionary), it is pronounced /kæʃ/ when not related to computers and pronounced /keɪʃ/ for the definitions relating to computers. The Macquarie Dictionary is available by subscription online, but if all you need it for is to check this one word, you can get a 30 day free trial. 2013-02-05

Pronouncing cache in the way suggested by whoever added (not Australia) is woeful beyond belief. I am from the UK, live in Australia and have lived in New Zealand previously for 15 years. Saying that is not the way that we pronounce it here simply isn't representative, but I agree with 2010-09-22 that it is a common mistaken pronunciation - especially in my field (IT). Tomorrow, in the unlikely event that I remember, I will wander into the University library and check some AU dictionaries. 59.167.214.95 06:43, 11 March 2013 (UTC)

redundant pronunciation files (uk/canadian)Edit

The pronunciation for cache does not need 3 different files. They all sound the same anyway. Also the UK file is inaudible.Anthonzi 04:33, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

It's not inaudible but it most certainly isn't loud enough. 50 Xylophone Players talk 01:34, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
It does not even need 2...

Redundant sense (military cache). Tagged since... I don't know when. 86.131.98.77 23:16, 25 January 2010 (UTC)

Oh yes, delete/merge, it's redundant and badly written. Put [[Category:Military]] on the bottom of the page. Mglovesfun (talk) 15:31, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
