I am not sure casino has something to see with casa... Giacomo )ask(

Casino edit

According to the Spanish Academy, origin of "casino" is "hut", like "casa", so, both terms are related. See Diccionario de la Lengua Española and type "casino". - Renebeto.

"Ino" is the same diminutive as the "ito", so it means a little house in Italian.

Italian pronunciation edit

pronunciation in Rome (which is always standard) is /'kasa/, in Noerthern italy is /'kasa/ and is spreading due to widespread northern italian private broadcast "mediaset", a private TV holding owned by S. Berlusconi. But /'kasa/ pronunciation is still standard. I corrected in the Italian section — This unsigned comment was added by 87.10.152.38 (talk).

Since the audio file clearly has [ˈkaza], [ˈkasa] isn't the only pronunciation. We can list both. —Angr 20:12, 3 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Spanish from Spain pronunciation edit

Why it's not mentioned /θ/ for the "s", like on the French wiki page for "casa"? Is it wrong, or it is your page that doesn't have it?

Return to "casa" page.
