I've just changed the P.O.S. of this article from "abbreviation" to "noun". This agrees with the online AHD, Collins, Encarta, and M-W; most of which also label it colloquial or informal and give "shortening" as etymology, rather than abbreviation. If some feel shortenings also belong in the abbreviations category you'll probably have to invent a new template or add it manually. — Hippietrail 20:04, 8 August 2005 (UTC)

I'm ignorant on policy for links between wiktionary entries, but I'm wondering if this entry could have a link to the newly created chemo- (18:03, 22 November 2005 User:SemperBlotto). And vice versa? Shenme 20:00, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
