First usage edit

Does someone know when this word was first used in the English language? It sounds very much like a more recent business term rather than proper English.

Isn't this word "just" an alternative form of double check? edit

Shouldn't this word instead be labeled as "Alternative form of double check" (as double check seems to be the primary form)?

Traditionally verbs like this were usually hyphenated, while nouns were not. People are sloppier about that now. Equinox 21:23, 16 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
