Egon is used with the adverb, izan with the adjective. Therefore it is:
- Mahaia handia da. With the absolutive singular ending on the adjective, but
- Mahaia zikin dago. With no ending on zikin to make it an adverb. Another adjective may take a different ending to make it an adverb.
