Use of the word floor for ground edit
It's something I don't like to read or hear, but even the BBC are doing it

But then their standards have slipped terribly over recent years.
It does appear to be common in some parts of England. I regard it as incorrect, but then others will say that whatever people say and use is language evolution and is therefore correct. Hmmm...

The floor in casinos edit
I think casinos and casino goers refer to where games are played as the floor. I may not be entirely correct, but I think this is true. Here is an example of it being used in a casino website https://www.bestuscasinos.org/casino-floor/
