I do not agree with the previous judgement that this term is not suitable for inclusion in a dictionary. It is a common phrase in molecular genetics, and I hope that the quotations that I have provided support the notion that this is a phrase which is more then simply 'gene + product' with a status quite different from, for instance, 'program + product' or 'work + product' or 'sculpting + product' or 'tuba + product'. --Ceyockey 03:59, 8 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
