Etymology 1

I think this maybe needs looking at: 'hex' is used in the UK, and I could be wrong, but I doubt that its use there comes via Pennsylvania German...? 81.96.169.179 14:57, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Etymology 2

Hex is also colloquial for "hextuple" when used in electronics components datasheets; for example, a CMOS chip called "40106" contains 6 identical, independent "Schmitt trigger" circuits and is therefore marketed as "Hex Schmitt trigger". 85.245.161.33 13:13, 23 November 2017 (UTC)

Number 6 and Witchcraft?
