Gender neutral pronoun edit

"a person having a talent which they can be proud of"?? It looks like "they" refers back to "a person" in this sentence. So "they" is used as the new gender neutral third person singular personal pronoun. I guess it's OK, but it still does sound strange. It would be better to use "she" as a gender neutral pronoun, women then could not claim sexism. There would be a loss for women, though, since one would never be able to tell then whether "she" refers to a female or to one of either sex. Hungarian is so much simpler in this respect, it being totally gender neutral. User:Mateat 22:12 August 21 2008 (UTC)
