Etymology edit
Old French hoe, from Old High German. I can believe the Old High German, but is it really Old French, not Old English? Mglovesfun (talk) 10:27, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
- Though the TLFi gives houe as from Frankish, it doesn't specifically say that it was spelt hoe in Old French, but it's logical. Mglovesfun (talk) 10:45, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
