I'm trying to imagine someone using the Wiktionary as a resource for looking up Japanese words, but with limited or nearly nonexistent knowledge of the language. This is a good reason for the existence of the Romaji entries, but since those entries only link to Kanji/kana entries, it is essentially useless, unless they are to type romaji into the address bar to look up a related word (or return to the romaji entry for the same word from whence they came). Is there a clear reason not to link to the romaji entries? Assuming that you have a good reason, I'll hold off on re-editing those pages that we're conflicted about until tomorrow or so, but if I haven't heard from you, I'll revisit them.</Jun-Dai>

As for it being inconsistent, we can certainly arrive at a standard for how it is to be implemented here, which solves the problem at least within the context of this site. I'm working on that at the moment, eventually it will be at Wiktionary:About Japanese or a page underneath it (linked from it). </Jun-Dai>
