a very short definition for what is (in any case) a big word; this definition does not fully square with others out there (which are also inadequate in my mind). i would argue that this usage has drifted away from the sense of "frivolity" or inappropriate gaeity more towards a concept of humor or a light heart in the face of (the human) tragedy??? --Nrrrvs 13:54, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

ok so it probably should be rendered more complete with respect to other widely accepted definitions, but what about the drift? do others agree? i guess i am looking for a "second" to the motion...--Nrrrvs 15:30, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
