Talk:macaroni

I have added a nineteenth-century citation supporting meaning number two (pasta in general), but where does "(used by Italian-Americans, especially in Philadelphia and New Jersey)" come from? Neither the AHD nor the OED mention this. BenjaminBarrett12 (talk) 17:42, 3 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Penne?

edit

Why is there a picture of penne on this page? It says "The type of macaroni called penne." Even if it's true that the term "macaroni" historically or dialectically means "pasta" in general, this picture confuses the reader. BenjaminBarrett12 (talk) 17:45, 3 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Deleted the penne picture. BenjaminBarrett12 (talk) 19:58, 5 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
Return to "macaroni" page.
