Is this term used in English? It needs a language field so probably "==Japanese Romaji==" and possibly also "==English==" if it is used in English. — Hippietrail 03:02, 18 Aug 2004 (UTC)

I rewrote but still not entirely happy with the result -- as most Chinese characters are not ideograms. As far as I know [. Most Chinese characters are actually not ideograms at least not in the strict sense. I think such is fair to say, so perhaps.
