myo- is from Ancient Greek μῦς which meant both "mouse" and "muscle". One Greek with bright imagination found a muscle in the arm looks like a mouse. On the other hand, the same correspondence can be found also in Armenian and Russian. --Vahagn Petrosyan 20:21, 10 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
