Talk:on all fours

Should this be at all fours? To account for sentences like, ‘he dropped down on to all fours’...? Widsith 09:32, 27 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Maybe, but I don't think so. The current heading mis-labeling may be throwing you off; "on all fours" acts as an adjective with an extra idiomatic connotation of subservience as a dog or a pack animal. While the sentence you gave as an example is not idiomatic, and instead describes a sum-of-its-parts physical action/location/position. That said, this entry does need a bit of cleanup. --Connel MacKenzie 15:56, 27 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Seriously edit

Nothing to cover quadruped animals? *sigh*. Mglovesfun (talk) 20:46, 16 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Return to "on all fours" page.
