Prefixation vs compounding for Etymology 1 edit

I think this is a compounding of the prepositional phrase "over age". The alternative of an alteration of (deprecated template usage) over- + (deprecated template usage) aged is possible but this term dates to the 15th century so we would need evidence of (deprecated template usage) overaged from earlier. Return to "overage" page.
