My hunch tells me that the Italian words have different etymologies. If verified, divide article by etym rather than by pron, pron is secondary. — Hippietrail 13:49, 14 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

I can't give you a sure etymology, but I would declare you correct in your assumption. Pesca meaning peach would come from the same root, from Latin persica. The fishing sense presumably derives from piscis. Anyone want to fix that up? --Wytukaze 14:01, 14 May 2005 (UTC)Reply
