Talk:sirup

Return to "sirup" page.

I thought Syrup was the more normal spelling, but not 100% certain now. Does the fact that the main definition is in sirup with syrup given as variant imply that sirup is most commonly used?

Bartleby gives sirup as the variant http://www.bartleby.com/61/53/S0435300.html

In the UK one of the most commonly known is Tate & Lyles Golden Syrup http://www.cooksclub.co.uk/products1.asp?i=3

"Syrup" is the usual spelling. This page has been taken from a very old copy of Webster's. — Paul G 13:21, 13 Aug 2004 (UTC)
