Talk:speaking

This article does not list a good example of using prepositions with "speaking". I was speaking to her. OR I was speaking with her. What's correct?

They are usually both correct, and equivalent. However, if you're speaking "with" her, she is replying. If "to" her, she might be silent. Equinox 15:21, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
