Possible analogue edit

This term is used in discussions of Wikimedia movement governance. I have trouble distinguishing the terms "subsidiarity" and "federalism" but they are not exactly synonyms. As applied it seems that the "principle of subsidiarity" leads to governance with the property of federalism. Maybe "federalism" is the principle applied to a national government.
