I assume it's either /ˈtæksɪˌmiːtə(ɹ)/ or /tækˈsɪmɪtə(r)/. Basically, is the stress on the first syllable or the second? N4m3 (talk) 17:40, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
- I would say /ˌtæksɪˈmiːtə(ɹ)/ because I re-analyse it as taxi + meter. I assume many native speakers do the same, although I am not one. Keφr 17:45, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
