H. G. Wells used this as a verb for the sound made by crickets: "Every flower was gleaming white or crimson black, and the air was aquiver with the thridding of small crickets and nightingales singing unseen in the depths of the trees." Anyone else? Equinox 10:17, 8 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
