Usage

This template can be used in the "References" section of an entry to provide a citation for Oma Stanley's The Speech of East Texas, published by Columbia University Press in 1937. No online version of this work is currently freely available.

Parameters

The template takes the following parameters:

  • |1=, |chapter= – the chapter cited; either its number in uppercase Roman numerals or Arabic numerals (any value from |chapter=1 to |chapter=4 or |chapter=I to |chapter=IV) or the letter denoting one of the three appendices (any value from |chapter=A to |chapter=C). Alternatively, the chapter name can be entered manually.
  • |2=, |section=, or |sections= – the section number(s) cited in Arabic numerals.
  • |3=, |page=, or |pages= – the number(s) of the page(s) cited as a reference.
  • |4=, |text=, or |passage= – a passage cited from the source.
  • |nodot= – by default, the template adds a full stop (period) at the end of the citation. To suppress this punctuation, use |nodot=1 or |nodot=yes.
