From Ancient Greek Τεσσᾰρεσκαιδεκᾰτῖται (Tessareskaidekatîtai), from τεσσᾰρεσκαιδέκᾰτος (tessareskaidékatos, fourteenth) + -ῑ́της (-ī́tēs). Compare to Quārtadecimānī.
