From Ancient Greek Τεσσᾰρεσκαιδεκᾰτῖται (Tessareskaidekatîtai), from τεσσᾰρεσκαιδέκᾰτος (tessareskaidékatos, “fourteenth”) + -ῑ́της (-ī́tēs). Compare to Quārtadecimānī.
