Etymology edit
From Spanish tetilla (“little breast”), because the cheese is usually shaped into cones that resemble breasts or (half) pears.

Tetilla (plural Tetillas)
- (A cone of) a cow's-milk cheese, made in Galicia, which resembles a small breast (hence the name) or a half-pear (hence the alternate name perilla).
