- (obsolete) A taxonomic class within the kingdom Plantae – a polyphyletic taxon comprising all tetradynamous plants (those having four long stamens and two short stamens in each flower).

This taxon was erected by Carl Linnaeus as an aid in classification, but was not intended to represent a natural grouping.
