yesterday? edit

Is "yesterday" really a synonym for "immediately"? I do not think so. The edit history says that it was included in the first version. (I am de-N, en-2, i am not sure.) Himbeerbläuling (talk) 14:50, 11 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

I have qualified it as "informal" now as that is what our dictionary entry says. User: The Ice Mage talk to meh 14:52, 11 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Himbeerbläuling It's hyperbole. It goes one step beyond "I want this done NOW, even though "now" is, literally speaking, the earliest something could be done. I've definitely heard it and you can easily find usage in books and online. Chuck Entz (talk) 15:34, 11 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
