Etymology edit

Sino-Vietnamese word from 重慶.
In the past, the area of this district was known as Tư Lang (思琅), Thượng Lang (上琅) ,etc. In the 7th year of Minh Mạng (1826), the name of this area was changed to Trùng Khánh Prefecture (phủ Trùng Khánh).

This etymology is missing or incomplete. Please add to it, or discuss it at the Etymology scriptorium.
