Etymology edit
Possibly from atsooʼ (“tongue”) + dził (“mountain”). Another theory is that is comes from tsodizin (“prayer”) + dził (“mountain”).

One of the six sacred mountains of the Navajo. Tsoodził, associated with dootłʼizhii (turquoise) and the color blue, marks the southern boundary of Dinétah.
