My main interest in Wiktionary is working on the "citations" pages, with an emphasis on documenting the earliest published citations for words and phrases. Two things draw me to this hobby:

1) I am a frequent user of the OED, and occasionally I discover an earlier citation than any registered in the OED. (And, unlike Wiktionary, the OED has no way for users to correct or add to entries, or even to communicate with their editors.)
2) I have noticed that most "citations" pages are entirely blank, so this is a new playground, and why not enjoy it?

There is more about me on my wikipedia page (same name). Peace.
