Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wiktionary. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wiktionarian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk (discussion) and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~, which automatically produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the beer parlour or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! 08:43, 4 October 2005 (UTC)

jobs ware edit

Thanks for the note. We still used "rfd" just like WP used to, before they had a moment of psychosis and renamed it to "AfD." I'm deleting the talk page along with the main entry you pointed out as spam. You can tag it with {{rfd}}, {{db|reason}}, {{delete}}, {{rfv}}, {{rfc}} or one of the several others, as appropriate. --Connel MacKenzie T C 05:27, 28 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

No redirects edit

Hi, we don't use redirects for alternative spellings, because we may have more to say about the spelling (i.e. evidence of usage, notes about acceptability). See straightjacket and it's Citations page for one example. I've fixed dog house. Yours Conrad.Irwin 09:29, 6 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
