fusilinid is an error for fusulinid I suppose. Equinox 17:39, 19 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

It needs to be made as an alt-form, actually. Check out google books:"fusilinid". --Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 18:00, 19 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

friendzone edit

Re friendzone: but friend zone doesn't have the verb sense. Actually, the verb might only be attestable in the past tense ("I got friendzoned by Kate Middleton" kinda thing). —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 16:05, 22 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

pyrohelimeter edit

I think this one is a typo for pyrheliometer. Equinox 20:42, 22 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Eh, remove it if you don't see anything on bgc. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 05:53, 23 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

long tom edit

Um, this came up in the context of hydraulic mining, so I don't think it's the same thing as a long Tom. I think it's some sort of 19th-c. sediment sifter meant to make gold panning easier, but I'm not clear on what exactly it is. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 05:53, 23 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

anodium edit

Where did you see it? Google Books results appear to be scannos for "an odium" (e.g. "to labour under so peculiar anodium") or to refer to some kind of product, possibly from Anodium Ltd, and nearly always capitalised (an exception: "anodized anodium lever handles", 1963). Equinox 12:23, 4 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Oliver Sacks mentioned it as a defunct chemical element, but it was hard to tell if cites could support that. I suspect that some sense or capitalization is citeable, just because I have great trust in mad British psychologists (I think Freud would consider that to be a sign of a repressed desire). —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 03:06, 5 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Sacks is excellent, yes. I like R D Laing as well, though I dare say he makes modern psychs shudder. Equinox 21:07, 30 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Funny, I never found Laing quite as readable. Maybe I ought to try afresh. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 21:11, 30 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

super-marionation edit

Never watched Thunderbirds, eh? See Supermarionation. Possibly includable in the same way as Technicolor, technamation, etc. Equinox 20:07, 30 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Well, I'm not British, and I wasn't quite up to watching SF TV shows in the sixties, so it should pose no great surprise that I know naught of it but that we lack the term. It has the air of inclusability about it, but I really don't think I could define it (or want to read the article carefully enough so that I could define it).You wouldn't mind a stab at it, eh? —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 20:11, 30 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Added at Supermarionation. Equinox 21:07, 30 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
