    Vote to petition the developers to give Wiktionary Bureacrats the facility to change the default for the namespaces to be included in the default search.     It is not clearly worded at all. The resolution looks to me like a proposal to endow the community with the option to make decisions. The community can already make decisions without a resolution vote. --EncycloPetey 18:18, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

    When someone creates a new account and edits the default search options in their preferences, only the Main namespace is ticked. There are other namespaces that should be ticked, including Appendix and Wikisaurus and whatever else the community thinks should be included by default. Likewise, more namespaces should be searched by default for those who visit the site anonymously. DAVilla 18:57, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    Then this vote is premature, if we haven't even decided what namespaces will be covered by a supporting vote. Right now, the vote is about something that hasn't been discussed fully or decided. If specific namespaces were listed, I could support a proposal like "Expand the default search to include the following namespaces: (include list here)." But as it stands, there is nothing specific to support or oppose other than having the discussion. I see no point in voting to have the discussion. --EncycloPetey 19:00, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    We don't need to vote to have the discussion, a discussion that may not be at all controversial by the way, but we will need to vote regardless to expand the seach. The wording assumed that people felt this would be necessary at the conclusion of such discussion, giving two good examples of namespaces that are currently excluded by default. But I see now that it had also assumed faith in democratic principles. If you need to have a concrete example in front of you to decide yeah or nay, so be it. Now postponed.     The community, the same group of people who do everything. It would probably be admins who make the final changes, but anyways anyone with responsibility is only empowered to do what the community decides. Yes, it will change if we create new namespaces that need to be readily searchable. Your last idea would really be of benefit if nobody here can think abstractly, which is to say that it sounds like a pretty good idea right now. DAVilla 18:48, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    How do we add new namespaces?
