User:HersfoldBot for bot status edit

  • Nomination: I hereby request the import flag for User:HersfoldBot. HersfoldBot does not require the bot flag, and its edits by nature will need to be manually reviewed. HersfoldBot will run for the following purposes:
    Importing articles, using the Special:Import API, marked for transwiki from the English Wikipedia that:
    • Do not already exist here in either the Transwiki: or main word namespaces
    • Do not contain more than 5000 characters, unless approved by a human editor
    • Have not been otherwise marked by the bot as problematic in a previous run
    Depending whether the article is imported or not and why, the bot will log its actions in the appropriate locations both here and on Wikipedia. You can see some of the bot's example work at the following links; please note that this does not include the new features I've added during the Beer Parlour discussion, but you can read that discussion for more details there.
