From Balinese ᬯᬺᬲ᭄ᬧᬢᬶ (wrespati, “Thursday”), from Old Javanese wṛhaspati, from Sanskrit बृहस्पति (bṛhaspati). Cognate of Javanese ꦉꦱ꧀ꦥꦠꦶ (respati).
