Etymology edit

From Zazaki Zaza, though ultimately likely an exonym of non-Iranian substrate (possibly North Caucasian) origin^[1] as the term Zaza is considered derogatory.^[2] Zazas prefer to call their language Dimlî, which could be related to the Iranian tribe Daylamites.^[3]^[4]
