abattée f (plural abattées)

  1. (nautical) A movement of the boat that brings it closer to tailwind.
  2. (aeronautics) A sudden nosedive of an aircraft due to a speed loss.
  3. (paragliding) A movement of the wing that brings it down toward the front of the pilot at a more or less pronounced angle.
