Aromanian edit

Etymology edit

Probably from Latin albēscō (for the sound change, compare the same occurrence in alghinã, ghine). Compare Romanian albi, albesc.

Verb edit

alghescu first-singular present indicative (past participle alghitã)

  1. to whiten
  2. (reflexive, mi-alghescu) to become white (also figuratively as in hair turning white with age)
