- (finance, trading) arbitrage: a market activity in which a security, commodity, currency or other tradable item is bought in one market and sold simultaneously in another, in order to profit from price differences between the markets.
- (law) arbitration:
- a process through which two or more parties use an arbitrator or arbiter in order to resolve a dispute.
- a form of justice where both parties designate a person whose ruling they will accept formally.
