bloen

DutchEdit

EtymologyEdit

Blend of blauw (blue) and groen (green). Blending the words the other way would have resulted in grauw, which would have led to confusion because it already was a name for a colour (namely grey), so this blend was used instead.

AdjectiveEdit

bloen (comparative bloener, superlative bloenst)

  1. grue (colour)
