- (British) A non-commissioned officer in some infantry regiments of the British army, equivalent in rank to a staff sergeant in most other armies. A colour sergeant ranks above a sergeant and below a warrant officer.
- (entomology) A nymphalid butterfly, Athyma nefte, of tropical Asia.
