Often shortened to just dãy, especially before the actual name of the range. For example, "dãy Himalaya" ("the Himalayas") is more common than "dãy núi Himalaya".
Dãy núi (and the shortened dãy) is the usual term for "mountain range" in Vietnamese, and the only one that has frequent usage in spoken Vietnamese.
