   • 1952, Báo Nhân Dân‎^[1], volume 46, page 2:

     Trừ bọn Việt gian, nói chung những người "dinh tê" đều bị lương tâm cắn rứt, như người đã đào ngũ. Họ thấy tương lai của họ mờ ám. Trong lúc toàn dân đang đập vào mặt quân thù, họ cam lòng quỳ gối cúi đầu dưới gót sắt giặc.

     Excluding the collaborators, the "dinh tê" are all by and large conscience-stricken like defectors. They see their future as bleak. Amidst our people's triumph against the enemy, they're content with kneeling down and licking the enemies' boots.
