1. The date of doomsday, or some catastrophic and final event.
   • 1967, Canadian Fisherman, volumes 54-55, page 21:

     Many articles emphasize some given doomsdate in the future. I cannot agree with these calculations.

   • 2011, David A. Levy, James E. Parco, Echoes of Mind: Thinking Deeply about Humanship, page 78:

     The next doomsdate is scheduled for March 21, 2014, when an asteroid will hit the earth.
