dorsal striatum (plural dorsal striatums)

  1. (neuroanatomy) The backward part of the corpus striatum. It consists (in each hemisphere) of the lenticular nucleus and the caudate nucleus; these are adjacent to each other (at one end of the latter, with the rest of the latter also curving around the former).
